What we can do to help ease world hunger

Assalamualaikum and hello guys!Salam Ramadhan Al-Mubarak!We hope that you are in the pink of health. Instead of that, we are really tired.

The first thing is so simple that you would think that everyone would accept it as the starting point for discussion and policy.  There is a basic enforceable human right to food.  That should be at the heart of the international food system.  Food is not primarily a commodity to be bought and sold like sneakers, dresses or bicycles.  It is a fundamental human necessity and must be treated as such in the economics of every country and the world community.  Nutritious food for each person on earth goes right along with clean air and water as the sources of life that cannot be denied to any person.

Strangely, our government does not yet accept this obvious truth and despite our generous spirit and long track record of humanitarian aid this omission holds us back from the kind of effectiveness that is necessary to solve the problem.  The right to food must guide all programs and policies that our government or any government and all relief and development agencies promote.

Oh we are running out of time. We will continue later..

Serial Acid Attack

Hey guys, how’s your day? Do you guys realize that we are already more than a half month of fasting for this Ramadhan? Life as student with all of those commitment including lab work, report and assignment sometimes make us did not realize as time goes by. Well, starting this week, all our friends already busy with their plan of going back to home town for this Hari Raya. Of coz we want to make a very special preparation for this coming aid since it’s only come once a year.

But, how about the unlucky people, especially the victim of an Serial Acid Splash that strikes Malaysia in early 2011. How are they goanna celebrate the Hari Raya after such a terrible experience? How do they feel? How do they accept the fact of these incidents? Losing the look of skin, face and mostly the eye sight is a most terrifying nightmare to us. But it is really happening for these victims.

One of the serial acid striker victim

Let’s review the incident happened throughout March until May 2011. The early report was made on March 2 when a motorcyclist clad in black strikes a few students and teacher of SK Bukit Bandaraya in Jalan Bangkung, Bangsar with splashed of a liquid. The attacks continue but it is more violent by splashing acid to the victims. Surprisingly, the splasher only targeted a WOMAN and CHILDREN as his victim.  The only lead police have into the identity of the suspect is that he is of dark complexion, rides either a Honda EX5 or Yamaha motorcycle with a carrier compartment in front.

                                                           The picture of the suspect

At last the police make a large discovery when they announce the suspect identity. This finding was broadcast only after the acids splasher strike his 21’st victim. It been a months of terrifying moment for all women live around the targeted area (Lembah Kelang) not knowing the psyco attacker identity. It's not a prank when his acts had hurt his 23 victims physically and emotionally. Were doesn’t mean on being cruel but if the we able to catches this criminal, he should be beaten to death.!!!

A month full of blessing

Assalamualaikum and hello peeps!

What are you guys doing?Studying?Doing assignments? Gossiping? No matter what were you doing right now,we hope that you'll be blessed always.Like us,we just got back from Introduction to Food Technology class by Sir Ramli Man.He's one of the very relax and kind lecturer.Night class is quite fun actually.Maybe because of the cool environment i guess, compared to the hectic environment during the day.

So,yeah, back to the topic, how's your Ramadhan? We bet it must be interesting right.Same goes to us,nothing much actually to mumbling about this Ramadhan. We had to go through our journey as a student in this Ramadhan month as one of those "challenging adventurers".Wanna know why?Well, besides classes,we have lab sessions to attend to.Basically, all of our lab sessions last long for three hours.Three hours time spending in the lab can be pretty tired with lots of things to do.(Our mind became tired too)But what choice do we have? This is the path we had chosen.

Fasting with family and fasting with college mates brings lots of differences. At home, everything will be prepared by mom.But in the campus,we have to stand on our own foot. With pack schedules plus loads of assignments, sometimes we rushing to buy meals for breakfasting.Usually,we bought our foods at the cafeteria.Although lots of dishes are sell, the price was quite expensive,We thought of save our money by buying the meals at the cafe,(since we have not get our MARA loan yet),but unfortunately, the price is much expensive compared to the outside food. The quality and cleanliness of the food is also at lower level. Some of the students experienced diarrhea apart from that. Thanks God,that thing haven't occure to us yet(hopefully we'll be just fine)

So,that's all about our Ramadhan.Stay tuned for the next post. Salam.

How We Overcome Challenges During Ramadhan

Salam and how are you dude?? I hope all of you have a great Ramadhan. Still feel fresh until now? What are you feeling about this Ramadhan? Tired (absolutely!!), Excited?(as this is the month full of blessing) or you feel the same thing like any other months. Well, the four of us are extremely eager to celebrate Aidilfitri as the raya songs had been played in radios.

Challenges during Ramadhan is a must to us. 90% of our day time were almost fill with our pack schedules, classes, tutorials and lab sessions anymore. At the end of the day, we are not just exactly tired, but we experienced mentally tired too. (cant wait to complete our bachelor study). So, today, we would like to share our tips on how to overcome challenges during Ramadhan.

1. 'Suhoor' is a must!
According to syariah, our prophet, Rasulullah S.A.W encouraged muslims to have 'sahoor' because it is one of the sunnah. In terms of logic, 'sahoor' will provide us energy as we will neither drink nor eat for 14 hours.

2. Talk less, more work!
Why don't you guys minimize your talking (gossiping, chatting, etc.). Lets try something worth. For example, rather than gossiping with your roomates, why dont you try this, reading al-Quran with your roomates after prayer.Besides getting reward known as "pahala", it's a good start to clean our spiritual during this Ramadhan. Yes,some of you might think "Hey,they advice us to do this and that as they might do the same". If this came across to your mind, well, what we can only say is peoples do change.

3. War of lust!
Yeah!this is the most interesting part.We need to launch a war this Ramadahan.Hey,chill, this is not World War II ok!This is just war of lust.Sounds pretty simple right? But could you do it? Nah! Try it first. As a student, for sure you will breakfasting at restaurant or buying your meals at bazar Ramadhan or more less at the cafetaria. Here's the point, while you are observing for foods to buy, what happen to yourself?Mostly all of you will be like crazy looking to all the foods and feel like "I wanna buy this",or "Oh,i am so hungry,so,i want to eat 2 plates of rice with fried chicken plus curry,oh,and fresh salad some more". So,this Ramadhan, why don't we change our habits? Make a smart choice.DON'T BUY TOO MUCH! Spend according to your needs.

We hope that with the three tips we suggested will benefit you.Last but not least, let's make this Ramadhan full of "barakah".Insyaallah.

Campus Life-Part two

Assalamualaikum and hello peeps!

May you guys are in the pink of health. Hows your fasting day? Good? We feel very fresh in the morning, but the energy level going down in the evening. ( Hey,the distance between our hostel and classrooms are way far ok!) Luckily our lab sessions havent started yet. Fasting with family and fasting with friends got lots of differents. We have to be independent especially during "iftar" time. At home, mom will prepeare everything for "iftar" with lots of delicate delicious. But here, nah! We need to buy the food on ourselves after rushing back from pack classes. You'll know how hard it is if you were in our shoes.

What am i mumbling here. Ok, so back to the main story. As promise in the previous entry, we will continue telling you about our experiences as the Bachelor students in MICET. Yeah ,well, the first week of study session,we got NO class at all. It's not we were skipping our lecture, BUT due to several miscommunications with ASRA regarding our programme structure, subject registration, timetable , and credit transfer make things turns upside down . We need to go to ASRA everyday to recheck our timetable and thanks God, fasting havent start yet. At the end of week 1, only then all the schedules and evrything going back normal and here we go, it's study time! Study time! Yes, study time means loads of assignments and tasks plus tutorials waiting.Oh,and lab report to be done. ( Lab report is the main tasks for every students in MICET )

For this semester, we got seven subjects with 18 credit hours. Three of the subjects are "killer subjects" and those KILLERS are Physical Chemistry , Thermodynamics , and last but not least , Process Heat Transfer. Chemical Engineering students will definitely for sure know how hard the subjects are. I bet some of you might come out with this questions " Hey,how come she still got time for blogging since she got pretty-lil-pack-schedules " or "She keep mumbling about her pack schedules but still got time for blogging" . To be frank, our timetables are really pack with classes (not-to-forget-night classes) as well as lab sessions. Fundamental English subject require us to make blog. Like seriously? We are Chemical Engineering students, which way could it be related?

As we start create blog, we realised the need of social networking in our LIVES. Students life is not just about books, assignments, but it is actually more than that. We bet you might heard this phrase before, "Study smart, not just study hard".Therefore, blog is actually one of the medium for us to share evrything that came across in our mind,no matter what the topic is. Apart from that, this blog is actually our assignments for this subject. So,i am pretty sure now you know a little part of our campus life. Feeling excited reading this?Wanna know more?Stay tuned for the next entry! (All of us are giggling. It's too cold in here)

We straight away looking for our bed and start tidy up our stuffs. We get along very well with our roommates in just a short time. Although this is our first time meet our roommates which is our new friends too, the bonding among us are very good and we are happy with it.

For the meantime, we guess we have to stop here as loads of assignments pending. Wanna know more about our campus life? If you do,s tay tuned. Till we meet again!
