A Positive Thing that I'm Going to do during the Mid-Semester Break (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum..Hello peeps!..it's been a while..sorry blog..

So,yeah, though we haven't finish our first semester yet,but it will be nice planning on what-to-do during our semester break.Even though the weather might not be the best indication,Mid-Semester Break is right around the corner. And while some of you will be off for family vacation, I know a lot of you, like myself, will also be home for Mid-Semester Break. But just because you won’t be able to enjoy the delicious food of other states, relaxing your mind by enjoying the sceneries, that doesn’t mean you won’t still be able to have a fabulous Mid-Semester  Break!

Catch up on sleep! Get yourself organized! Enjoy having nothing to do for an entire week! Mid-Semester  Break is like a nice little, mid-semester time out. So use it to your advantage, and make the most of your week without plans. Here are six ways to make the most of your at-home Mid-Semester  Break.

1. Cross some things off your to-do list.

We all have that list of stuff to get done that’s always at the back of our minds, but that we never actually manage to get to. These to-do items always seem to get pushed aside because you have so much else going on. Well, now you don’t. So start tackling those tasks, whatever they may be! It’ll feel really good to get them done, and you’ll be getting ahead for the long-term!

2. Read a book.

Whether it be a current best seller,a childhood favorite or something you started for class and never finished, just pick up a book and start reading.Lose yourself in another world for a little while and revel in the accomplishment
you'll feel after you have completed it.Bonus point if you don't use a kindle/e-reader

3. Try a new recipe.

For those of you that are skilled in the kitchen, turn on the Food Network and start cooking! Watching shows like The Best Thing I Ever Ate and 5 Rencah 5 Rasa are inspiration enough. You can also check out food blogs like Dapur Tanpa Sempadan and KongsiResipi.com for more ideas and recipes to try! I can barely use a spatula but even I’m excited to try something new over break.

4. Spend some time with your family.

If you’re home for the break, make sure to schedule in some quality family time, whether it’s taking your little sister out for ice cream, having dinner with your grandparents, or participating in a good old fashioned family game night. You may not necessarily be happy to be home for Mid-Semester Break, but I bet your family will be happy to have you, so enjoy their company while you have the chance.

5. Pamper yourself a little.

Mid-Semester Break is an excellent time to indulge in all those beauty rituals you never have time for during the semester. Get your hair trimmed. Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure. Or splurge on a massage. Whatever you do, make sure its something that relaxes you. Then get some sleep and make sure to recharge so you’re stress-free and full of energy once you’re back at campus.

6. Have a Cinematic Experience, Alone
It’s mid-afternoon and you’re bored on your couch again.  What do you do now? You go for a movie nooner special, of course!  Play old lady and pay up for a matinee.  Use the extra dollars you saved for a small popcorn and waltz into that chick flick like you own the place.  Because you do. You’re the only one there.

A Positive Thing that I'm Going to do during the Mid-Semester Break is......

Hello lovely readers. How's your fasting days? We hope you doing very fine with your daily activities during Ramadhan. Well, it seems only a few more days Ramadhan Kareem will end and everyone busy preparing stuff for Eid Mubarak. Same thing happened to us too. Our members had bought a pair of baju kurung for Eid Mubarak. How about you guys? How many pairs do you guys plan to have for this year? Oh, how bout cookies and cakes?

For us, Eid Mubarak holiday is our mid-semester break. Sounds good huh? *hahah* Well right after our semester break end, we will be having an Industrial Safety first test on the next day and then Introduction to Food Technology test too. That's mean, we can't over enjoy our Hari Raya days. *sigh* but what we can do is study and study..  Well i think its okay, guess that is a kickstart for a positive thing that I'm going to do during this mid-semester break right? So, we have something to post about this task *hahha*

Okay besides, our members will going back to our respective hometown and then heading to our respective grandparent's house. Yes, grandparent's house! It is the nicest place to be during Eid Mubarak as we will having our favourite cookies and must-to-have-meals especially during Hari Raya - ketupat, rendang, lemang *yummy!* okay back to positive things that I'm going to do of course to help our grandma and grandpa and the other family members too. The main chores are of course cleaning up the house, hang a brand new curtains, bake cookies and cakes and other women chores. After that we can help grandpa and father to set up a place to cook rendang, burn lemang and bolied ketupat.

Other than preparation for hari raya, I'm going to do a community work such as help to clean up the compound of the orphanage and decorate them with Hari Raya stuff decorations such as hang fake ketupat, greeting cards and flashing light around the orphanage and set up traditional oil lamps that usual typical Malay will be having around their house during Hari Raya.

Okay readers, until here I can type as I have to study. I've got a test tomorrow. Hey wish me luck, okay! (^_^) 'Til we meet again in the next post. =)

Oh, I would like to wish everybody Selamat Hari Raya and Happy eid Mubarak especially to all Muslims in advance. Enjoy your days!
