Do you think you can achieve Dean's List for this semester?

The title above seems so hard to be answered, huh? I think it is harder than final exam questions *hahha*.. What do you guys think? Do you think you can achieve Dean's List for this semester?

For me, the first semester is the parameter what will we achieve for the next semester. As this is the first semester, everybody still has the spirit to study hard. So, the dean's list seems not too hard to be achieved, as long as we keep the good performance during the semester.

Everyone always hope and pray to get Dean's List every semester. Besides to make our own selves happy and self's satisfaction, we also want to make our parents feel proud towards us.

This semester I have set the goal to achieve the Dean's List. I try every exercises that given besides searched for extra exercises to improve my knowledge and calculation skill of one's subject. During tests and quizzes, some questions I can answer and  some I can't. So, I just leave it on my luck and hoping to get best marks and try my bests and give out all my efforts for the next tests and this coming exams.

Oh I think I have to study harder after this (or study smarter?) (^_^)

Wish me luck readers!

How to Get on Dean's List

Dean’s List, as the Wiki describes, is an honorary roll assigned to the top students. The GPA cut-off to get into the Dean’s List varies across faculties and academic terms. If I were to give a ballpark estimate, your GPA has to be at least 3.6 or 4.5 (i.e. average of A- and A for all subjects) and above to be considered on the Dean’s List. If students were more competitive in a particular term, the cut-off will be higher.
To get on Dean's List, there are several tips to follow
  1. Define the goal. Typically the standard for acceptance to the Dean's List is full-time status and a 3.5 grade point average (GPA).If your goal is to achieve Dean's List honors throughout your college career, you must meet the requirements each semester.
  2. Engage in class discussions. Share knowledge. Ask questions. These strategies will improve your understanding and provide valuable feedback to your lecturers. Participatory involvement is key to learning.
  3. Examine the syllabus. Most lecturers post their syllabi prior to the first class session. The syllabus will describe the contents of the course in detail and allow you to carefully plan your course load. The syllabus is designed for your success.
  4. Engage with faculty and understand the system.
  5. Prioritize. College or university responsibilities should come first. Carefully integrate other responsibilities around your college/university needs. Your priorities should entail reading, studying, attending class, listening, participating, taking notes and reviewing. Diligent time management will be necessary, but with it your college/university experience will be both fun and rewarding. Making the Dean's List will instill great habits and improve your chances on the competitive employment scene.

Tips and Reviews
  • Always keep update. Once you are behind, catching up is difficult.
  • Don't just memorize facts.
  • Build new knowledge upon existing knowledge.

How To Be A Better Human Being

Hello guys, how are you doing? Hope you are doing fine with your life. But, do you ever feel u didn’t like yourself very much? You were rude, selfish, emotionally stingy, self-centered, judgmental, highly critical, very obnoxious, and arrogant. Here we share with you ways to be a better person. If you just follow a tip a day, you’ll go a long way towards becoming a better, more likable, person

1.Decide what it is that you consider a 'good' person to be. You can do this by observing people you love or respect. Realizing their best qualities and admirable traits and implementing this upon your own personality.

2.Think before you speak. A good listener tends to be a good person, and trust from others will follow. When you have the power of someone’s trust, do not take it for granted. Use this trust, to help people better themselves.

3.Always think that helping others helps you. Act as though someone is watching you, feeling good inside and be satisfied with whom you've become.

4.Love what you do! Do what you love- If we can finally admit that we are in need of something to fill the void in our life that eats at us every moment. Do not think that loving a partner, even a distant friend will make you become suddenly happy. Satisfaction is only obtained through the knowledge of realization that only a true passion that will return to you its rewards, and then will satisfy your void and human thirst for fulfilment. Love something, that will give back and that you will not have expectations for! Be in control.

5.Boost your intelligence. The ability to perform mental tasks with ease is invaluable; taking simple steps in your daily life will help you to cultivate your brain power. Practice your cognitive mind by exercising your thinking patterns. Which means challenge your mind in a way that expands thinking beyond what this universe can even offer!

As a conclusion, now we like to propose something. We like to propose that you make up your mind, from today onwards, you don’t have to tell anyone what you’re up to, you don’t have to recruit others to do it with you and you don’t need to make a big deal out of it.  Just wake up with the attitude that no matter what happens throughout the day, you are going to give your life the very best you have to offer! You are going to live your life in a way that makes you want to be a better person.

Warning, this new approach could change everything!

What I would do to be a better student/human being?

Assalamualaikum and good evening to all our beloved friends. Before we start with that title, we would like to wish 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri', 'maaf zahir & batin'  and dont forget to our beloved Malaysia, happy Independent Day. Happy Merdeka Raya to all of you.

hmmm... Do you a student? If yes, same goes to us. We also the students of MICET. But do you one of the best student? Mmmm if not, we have the tips how to be better student. We also practicing it. The tips to be the better student are

1. Research the course. When selecting classes make sure that you do research on the course. Primarily you should be concerned with the answers to these important questions: Does the course provide you with the credits you need? Is this the right time to take this class? Does it realistically fit into your schedule? Also, make an effort to confirm that the course description is congruent with what is actually taught in the class? Interviewing former students who can give testimony about the class should be a part of your research as well.

2. Study the syllabus. When you attend your first day of class you will be given a syllabus which will provide you with an overview of the topics covered, reading/homework assignments, and grading criteria. Don't just read it; study it! This will be your chance to honestly assess whether the class and/or the teacher are a good match for you. First year students tend to overestimate their ability (and time) to handle a heavy workload. Anticipate two hours of homework per class for proper study time.

3. Take plenty of notes and ask the questions. The key to taking good notes is clarity - not abundance. Categorize your notes by topics and sub-topics. Your notes should be detailed enough to tell a complete story when you look back on them for mid-terms or finals. Questions afford your teacher the opportunity to meet you half-way in the learning process. Use them as your tools of comprehension.

that is all the keys that you should practise it to get the successfull life. That all we going to share with you guys. Stay tuned with our blog ok... Love you so much.. Muahhh...

A Positive Thing that I'm Going to do during the Mid-Semester Break (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum..Hello peeps!..it's been a while..sorry blog..

So,yeah, though we haven't finish our first semester yet,but it will be nice planning on what-to-do during our semester break.Even though the weather might not be the best indication,Mid-Semester Break is right around the corner. And while some of you will be off for family vacation, I know a lot of you, like myself, will also be home for Mid-Semester Break. But just because you won’t be able to enjoy the delicious food of other states, relaxing your mind by enjoying the sceneries, that doesn’t mean you won’t still be able to have a fabulous Mid-Semester  Break!

Catch up on sleep! Get yourself organized! Enjoy having nothing to do for an entire week! Mid-Semester  Break is like a nice little, mid-semester time out. So use it to your advantage, and make the most of your week without plans. Here are six ways to make the most of your at-home Mid-Semester  Break.

1. Cross some things off your to-do list.

We all have that list of stuff to get done that’s always at the back of our minds, but that we never actually manage to get to. These to-do items always seem to get pushed aside because you have so much else going on. Well, now you don’t. So start tackling those tasks, whatever they may be! It’ll feel really good to get them done, and you’ll be getting ahead for the long-term!

2. Read a book.

Whether it be a current best seller,a childhood favorite or something you started for class and never finished, just pick up a book and start reading.Lose yourself in another world for a little while and revel in the accomplishment
you'll feel after you have completed it.Bonus point if you don't use a kindle/e-reader

3. Try a new recipe.

For those of you that are skilled in the kitchen, turn on the Food Network and start cooking! Watching shows like The Best Thing I Ever Ate and 5 Rencah 5 Rasa are inspiration enough. You can also check out food blogs like Dapur Tanpa Sempadan and KongsiResipi.com for more ideas and recipes to try! I can barely use a spatula but even I’m excited to try something new over break.

4. Spend some time with your family.

If you’re home for the break, make sure to schedule in some quality family time, whether it’s taking your little sister out for ice cream, having dinner with your grandparents, or participating in a good old fashioned family game night. You may not necessarily be happy to be home for Mid-Semester Break, but I bet your family will be happy to have you, so enjoy their company while you have the chance.

5. Pamper yourself a little.

Mid-Semester Break is an excellent time to indulge in all those beauty rituals you never have time for during the semester. Get your hair trimmed. Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure. Or splurge on a massage. Whatever you do, make sure its something that relaxes you. Then get some sleep and make sure to recharge so you’re stress-free and full of energy once you’re back at campus.

6. Have a Cinematic Experience, Alone
It’s mid-afternoon and you’re bored on your couch again.  What do you do now? You go for a movie nooner special, of course!  Play old lady and pay up for a matinee.  Use the extra dollars you saved for a small popcorn and waltz into that chick flick like you own the place.  Because you do. You’re the only one there.

A Positive Thing that I'm Going to do during the Mid-Semester Break is......

Hello lovely readers. How's your fasting days? We hope you doing very fine with your daily activities during Ramadhan. Well, it seems only a few more days Ramadhan Kareem will end and everyone busy preparing stuff for Eid Mubarak. Same thing happened to us too. Our members had bought a pair of baju kurung for Eid Mubarak. How about you guys? How many pairs do you guys plan to have for this year? Oh, how bout cookies and cakes?

For us, Eid Mubarak holiday is our mid-semester break. Sounds good huh? *hahah* Well right after our semester break end, we will be having an Industrial Safety first test on the next day and then Introduction to Food Technology test too. That's mean, we can't over enjoy our Hari Raya days. *sigh* but what we can do is study and study..  Well i think its okay, guess that is a kickstart for a positive thing that I'm going to do during this mid-semester break right? So, we have something to post about this task *hahha*

Okay besides, our members will going back to our respective hometown and then heading to our respective grandparent's house. Yes, grandparent's house! It is the nicest place to be during Eid Mubarak as we will having our favourite cookies and must-to-have-meals especially during Hari Raya - ketupat, rendang, lemang *yummy!* okay back to positive things that I'm going to do of course to help our grandma and grandpa and the other family members too. The main chores are of course cleaning up the house, hang a brand new curtains, bake cookies and cakes and other women chores. After that we can help grandpa and father to set up a place to cook rendang, burn lemang and bolied ketupat.

Other than preparation for hari raya, I'm going to do a community work such as help to clean up the compound of the orphanage and decorate them with Hari Raya stuff decorations such as hang fake ketupat, greeting cards and flashing light around the orphanage and set up traditional oil lamps that usual typical Malay will be having around their house during Hari Raya.

Okay readers, until here I can type as I have to study. I've got a test tomorrow. Hey wish me luck, okay! (^_^) 'Til we meet again in the next post. =)

Oh, I would like to wish everybody Selamat Hari Raya and Happy eid Mubarak especially to all Muslims in advance. Enjoy your days!

From Hunger to Hope

Assalamualaikum and Salam Ramadhan Al-Mubarak! How are you guys feeling about today?  Great huh.Okay, today we will continue with our previous entry.

World hunger is one of the serious issues through all over the world. There are many ways actually that can help ease world hunger. Recently, Justin Bieber, had done a huge contribution to the nation by visiting the victim of natural disaster.Apart from that,he had launched a song entitled "Pray" as a part of his contribution.
Let us look a little bit of the song byte :

I lose my appetite knowing kids starve tonight
Am I a sinner, 'cause my dinner is still on my plate?
Ooh I got a vision to make a difference
And it's starting today

If this little boy had the awareness of this serious problems, why don't we do the same thing too? Let's play our role now by taking part as the nation. Much of the new welcomed efforts to help small farmers in Africa and elsewhere can derail and wind up in the ditch of development disaster by convincing small farmers to buy expensive seeds, petroleum based fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides that will increase their crop yield.  The original Green Revolution did increase crop yields, but at a great cost to farmers and their communities. Many farmers could not afford to invest in these expensive high tech products and lost their land to the smaller number who had more money.  They left the land and most became poor, unemployed or very low income workers in urban slums.  The Gates Foundation knows, of course, that this is likely to happen again and says that the New Green Revolution "will require some degree of land mobility and a lower percentage of total employment involved in direct agricultural production."

"Land mobility," is a fancy term for millions of landless people moving from the country to the slums of the nearest cities, most living in abject poverty.  The multi-national companies that make these products will do quite well in this New Green Revolution but a large portion of the farmers will not.   Displacement is only one of the bad consequences.  The environment is harmed by large doses of chemicals as are the farmers and the soil becomes depleted by over-farming.

There are certainly good intentions in the efforts of a whole new generation of development specialists. They have learned from some past mistakes and all of us in that world need to listen and learn from them.  They and their major funders should also pay attention to the many excellent studies that show that appropriate technology which is environmentally friendly and engages and respects small farmers rather than telling them what to do should be tried on a massive scale.  It has never been financed on the scale of the problem.  Where it has been tried it has succeeded.  Before spending untold billions on high tech methods that may not succeed, may be dangerous and certainly will displace millions of people, let's "invest in success" and fund methods that will not have so many unintended consequences.  That is something that our world has never tried.
